After decades of both studying and teaching biomechanics of the body and working on many thousands of bodies, Matthew felt inspired to showcase his skills and dedication to the world. In 2023 he competed in both the UK National Massage Championships in London and the World Championships in Copenhagen.

In the televised World Championships in Massage, Matthew competed in both the Sports Massage category and the Eastern Influenced category scoring well in both but not quite enough to secure a medal.

In the UK National Massage Championships, Matthew competed in the Deep Tissue and Swedish Massage category combined and also the Clinical Massage category. He scored highly in the Clinical Massage and was awarded 2nd place Silver Medal for the Deep Tissue and Swedish Massage category, narrowly missing out on Gold by only 2 points to the current World Champion.

In 2024 Matthew will compete in the European Massage Championships in Rome in May and in the World Championships again in Copenhagen in June and looks forward to returning to Javea with Gold! 😉
